Returning to Burton Road, West Didsbury where we had previously converted the upper floors of the same building into apartments, we were tasked with completing all the necessary lease agreement building works on behalf of the landlord to the ground floor retail space. Following this we were asked by new restaurant, Proove, to help them become operational.
Proove had an interior scheme created by designer Sally Flude and several contractors in place. However, there wasn’t anyone really tasked to take overall control of the build.
Employed as the main contractor, Urbanise took the lead throughout the build to ensure that all parties, were engaged and aware of the project milestones.
Collaborating with Sally ensured the look of the finished space was authentic to the original design. However, by harnessing the diversity of our supply chain both Sally and client, Deepak were able to consider options in products and materials that may not have been available to them.
The restaurant space was completed in time for opening night! The main structural building works are hidden behind a multitude of finishes; herringbone tiling, copper cladding, marble, timber, paint effects, custom made lighting and brassware, Blended together they create a friendly atmospheric dining space which both Sally and Deepak are thrilled with.
“Matt and the team at Urbanise assisted in the build and fit out of our new restaurant in West Didsbury. Matt was an asset to our team, providing advise, support and assistance throughout the process. More than just a contractor, Urbanise were there to ensure our restaurant was delivered, often taking on extra workload to make sure things got done. Their transparency, attention to detail and work ethic means that Proove will be using Urbanise in our roll out.”
